Lag

This is just a heads up. We have been experiencing alot of lag over the past few days. Sometimes, the server would lock for a few seconds, as if I was losing a connection.

Also, I don't think the auto-kick for the high ping doesn't seem to be functioning. We had a fellow on today with over 800 ping.

I noticed this too. I've been watching the servers all day through hlsw while at work and I saw lag spikes basically all day, even after I restarted it.

I thought it was just my dodgy internet, and the new jurassic park map version

Jurassic park seemed to lag even more.

yes the lag is very bad, i just had to get off because the lag was causing me to miss jump off buildings ><

Just more info:

The US escape server was almost unplayable tonight due to lag. We went to the rooftop map, and it cleared out half of the server. The jumps, coupled with the lag, was just too frustrating for some people. We only had 5 or 6 people with ping over 100, all the rest were in the 30 to 80 range.

Well I really dont know what is causing the lag because the dedicated server has more then enough resources to handle it.

What I am giong to do (testing):
Remove skinsmenu
Remove sourcebans
Add high ping kicker.

Lets test it without those settings for 2 days.

I noticed the new Supporter skins yesterday. When were those added? And could they be causing the lag?

If a skin is messed up you would see it flooding our console screen with red errors.


With the changes I made is the server running better (very limited lag only when human becomes a zombie)?
