Rules when joining.

A month or so back, when and individual joined the server, that person had to agree to abide by the rules of the server or they couldn't play. I thought that was a great idea and I was wondering why it was removed. It seemed like a great idea so that everyone would know what was expected of them when they played on these servers.

I know this seems kinda mean, but I think it should be a kickable offence if a player starts spamming the mic with "hold the boat, tram, elevator, heli, ect." at the begining of the round. It sounds insignificant, but after being here for the last few months, its tiring to hear the same thing every round. Maybe just a note on the MOTD that all vehicles will usually leave as soon as the first person gets on them and that other routes are available. With the exception of the last boat. That one should be held for eveyone to get aboard.

I know that there is always exceptions, such as the tram at the begining of island escape, but in my opinion almost everything should leave as soon as possible so that the zombies dont gain control of that vehicle. I guess the real issue is that players need to use common sence, but we all know that there is usually that one person that is prepared to hose everyone on the map.

I made the comment in jest on the server yesterday. The name of the sever is Run Bitch Run, not Ride the Heli Bitch Ride!

I can understand what your coming from, but frankly I'm going to have to disagree. So, soon as one person gets on he/she should immediately take it as the gist of your post, even though its sending your teammates down the river? Say people are at the tram on boatescape, they can make it to the thing but the zombie is behind them. Your saying the first person on the tram shouldn't risk his own life by taking the tram immediately even though it will mean the death of his teammates?

Escaping requires teamwork, and that doesn't mean sentencing your teammates to death so that you may live.

I agree with you Paladin. I was referring to the vehicles near the spawn. The tram on boatescape is a definite hold as well as the tram on island escape.

On arctic escape, I don't use the boats or the elevator if I am in front for two reasons. 1. Its faster (you don't have to wait for anyone if you're running). 2. The teamates behind can catchup if you leave them the vehicles.

Escape maps require teamwork and common sense. Sometimes we have both, sometimes we have neither, but we always have a good time.

I wasn't saying i'd ever actually take the vehicules, i was just saying the temptation is there if they are being annoying on the mic. Arctic escape is the main culprit for this, and it especially annoys me if i wait for them, then they jump on my head :P
