    noob question

    what is portalflow? beczause i was compiling fine, then i made a staircase, and now it freezes on portalview ...8.

    your map isnt optimized.
    you have to use func_details.

    wait, so when exactly do u use nodraw? or any of those colored textures

    the main reason for the long compiling time is that you didnt use any func_details.
    as i said read a few pages of the thread and than you should know how to use func_details.
    the first thing you could do is to make your staircase to a func_detail.
    using nodraw will just improve your ingame performence a bit.
    but that is another story.
