To do so, you go to options. Select the keyboard tab. Click on advanced. And Checkmark the box enable developer console. And that is about it!

right click on CSS in "my games" -> "Properties" -> "Launch options" -> type "-console" in there and the console should always be open when you start CSS.

To do so, you first have to enable the console in-game, then go to your steam control panel, choose "Games", then right click on "Counter-Strike Source", choose "Properties" and from General choose "Set launch options..." and then type -console in there, press OK and if it doesnt work, restart your steam, that's it, you're done!

no no no. i had the same problem. this is what i did:
-go into you css config, path: steamapps\[username]\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg\config.cfg
-open the file in notebook
-find "bind "`" "toggleconsole" and replace the "´" with "\" and safe
-there you go. it worked for me
