If you are just looking for audio recording, I suggest Audacity

If you are looking for audio and screen recording, I suggest Fraps.
http://www.fraps.com/
Fraps, unlike Audacity is not free. But that doesn't mean that a little bit of Google searching won't find you a cracked version. Just watch out for attached viruses.

K thanks ill use the audio to record sound and ill use my video recorder for just vid
then mix em together
