    Web Browser Updates

We already have a thread on Firefox 3 Beta 3, but Beta 4 has been released with even more improvements.

    Firefox 3 Beta 4

Internet Explorer has joined in on the action with version 8 Beta 1. It is very much improved, having standard features even greater than Firefox along with much needed increase in speed.

    IE8 Beta 1

I will still be using older versions until official releases are out, but I've given the Beta's a try. I take no sides in the browser war as I still use both daily. FF is faster, but IE is more stable for certain things, IMO.

I've been using IE since the FF beta came out. Now my embedded vids don't play properly on FF.

Hopefully this latest version fixes that.

If you have Vista, get the windows media player plugin for firefox. Had the same problem and it fixed it.

Do we have to update manually? Because I remember getting a thing yesterday to update Mozilla...or is it automatic?

Beta 5 is even faster now and has the new parallels that IE 8 beta 1 was sporting (Higher http max open connections). The final version of Firefox 3 will be released in june.

Spider Javascript speed test puts Firefox 3 Beta 5 as the fastest browser available to date, beating Opera, IE 8 Beta 1 etc.

You can update either way :P

lol, I just use firefox on everything except when a site or app syas it requires IE to be viewed properly.

My beef with IE was that it got too damn slow for some reason, but hopefully the beta fixes it.

    No, nothing is wrong.
