Looking into new anti-virus

Was wondering if anyone could point me towards the ones to get and the ones to avoid. looking at Kaspersky currently. Is there a different anti virus software i should get or is Kaspersky fine?

Kaspersky is fine and so is NOD32.

I bought Kaspersky back in 2008 as the cheap alternative to Symantec. I've been using it ever since. I just find it easy, reliable and secure. Never had a problem with it. Ever.

Bitdefnder total security, its just as good as all those antivirus and it uses a very low ammount of CPU

This is what I suggest, Instead of spending that money on an antivirus, spend it on an extra hard drive. What you can do is reinstall windows whenever you get a really bad problem, and recover you're files from the extra hard drive.

If you insist on using an antivirus program, then I suggest nod32, not free. Some good free alternatives are, Malwarebytes, AVG, and Spybot.

If you use your brain and browse the web using Firefox with NoScript, you won't need a anti virus.

Just use Microsoft Security Essentials. It's the shit, better than NOD32, less resources too.
