Windows 7 and steam games

Heeey I have a few Qs.

I bought the Windows 32 bit upgrade disk a few months ago and I am planning on installing it tommorrow but I just want to know if my games will still run the same. Also I want to get the Valve game pack since I want L4D 1 and 2 and a few other games from that pack so it would save me money instead of buying them on their own. There are quite a few old games in that pack which I doubt I would ever play but would they even run?

Oh and one other thing I was thinking about was maybe I should have got the 64 bit but I only have 3gb ram atm would it be worth buying another gb and getting 64 bit instead. I am not sure what I have in there atm but I might have to buy a 2gb stick if I already have (2gb & 1gb in there).

the games should run ok, though you may experience a slight FPS drop. 64-bit works fine with less than 4GB, but it also lets you get more than 4GB of ram

i just upgraded to win7 a few weeks ago from xp. everything works fine so far. you can dl the windows update advisor so that you can see what won't work with the new upgrade.

i say get 64. if you're going to upgrade eventually, you might as well.

Lol, you'll get an increase in performance on windows 7 if you have a multicore cpu. Windows 7 is better optimized to handle that shit.
