I just spent the last 5+ hours trying to organize all my files in folders again thinking i should have listened to myself to do this back when there wasn't that many and i started to wonder how many other people have close to 100,000 files on their hard drives, do you use a program to find your files, and are they all organized somehow or just a mess in one big folder.
I have them all organized for the most part between software, music, videos, other but after awhile the video starts to get to big and i need to start adding sub directory's and stuff like that. Same thing with the others it got so bad i needed to get two 1 TB hard drives for all this then i started to get 2 software folders and stuff like that for different folders which is how i came to use a program called everything to find stuff that i forgot where i stored. I am still organizing everything but it looks like i am going to have a lot of sub folders in other sub folders when i am done.
The question is how many files and folders do you have and is it a mess or more clean and easy to find and do you use a program to locate everything. The files the system gives and installed program files don't count for this i mean the ones you download and collect
