    Laptop issue.

    Hiya fellows of SG.

I'm experiencing the same wierd issue almost all the time on my laptop. So, I use my laptop to play CS:S etc. I've played it on the laptop for about a year now, and there hasn't been any problems until nowadays.

The problem is that when I'm in he middle of a game in CSS, the laptop self-shuts itself. I talked to cj about it and he says it could be my laptop being overheated so it shuts itself before anything melts. But sometimes, the laptop isn't even hot, and I've only used for like 1 hour when this problem occurs.

I've had some recent problems uninstalling Norton 360. The program was expired so I decieded to uninstall it, but it won't, it gives me an error. I have Avast antivirus though. I'm wondering if that could be the possible problem...

Could it be that the company installed something in the system so auto errors show up and you'll buy a new one, (so they make money.)

    Graphics card?

    Overheated?

    Bad battery?

    Any responds would be appreciated.

Overheat would be the most likely reason. Just because you don't think it is hot doesn't mean your chip thinks it's not hot either. You should install a temperature program to see if you are really overheating.

I think its against the law to put something in the laptops to make them break. The more programs you have on your computer the harder it runs even if its not running my computer started running hotter to when i started getting more programs installed on my computer but it doesn't overheat yet.

Could it possibly be the battery? Because I sometimes use the battery even if the laptop is full charged.

Don't worry I have the same problem too. My laptop even somethimes shuts down after 5 min after I started it up in the morning. First of all, just check your cooling.

Anyway, I got even a more insane error, everythme I push my button to start up my laptop, the looses his energy connection, even after putting the energy connection in and out, it can take up to 10 min before my laptop got connection and to start it up. Somethimes.

    ...wtf well that fixes it

Anyway, yeah it is cooling, most older laptops eventually experience that, some are easy to open but if its not under warranty anymore and your last resort Id suggest doing a factory restore if possible and that is to get rid of every single crap program you prolly got on there..
Second Id open it up and blow compressed air everywhere!! GL...
I just bought this for my sis http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2832wt_1104
Its a good laptop fairly cheap..look into something similar I guess if you get a new one..unles money isnt a problem

Where do you have to open it from outside to gain access to the fan part?

    Thanks for the other comments.

The should be screws all around the base...sometime hidden by stickers.. sometime under battery or other panels... THIS WILL MOST LIKELY VOID ANY WARRANTY if any <- just so you know
