My computer randomly won't POST

Hey guys, my computer I built in August has been working pretty good so far, but sometimes after shutting it off and moving it to a different outlet, it won't POST. I just turn it on and everything looks fine except the cpu fan won't run and I get no "post beep".

I took a look at all of the cables and noticed the power cable to my optical drive was offset.

It should be like A, but it was like B





I have adjusted the plug since then. but when I left my computer on today and went to work, I came home and it was on, but the monitor, mouse, or keyboard weren't working. I reset the computer and it wouldn't POST and the cpu fan wasn't working

I asked my bro and he said he shut it off, but he must have accidentally turned it back on too. I fixed the it by unplugging that same plug (I fixed the way it was plugged in last week) and plugged it back in the same spot and it booted up just fine.

Anyway, I know this is an extremely vague issue, but I have no clue what I should do. I should also note that sometimes when I wake my computer up from sleep mode, the mouse and keyboard will not work either. Not sure if the two problems are related or not.

If you need any more info just ask, I will take a closer look at my motherboard when I have a chance.
