Recently, my girlfriend I have been skyping would have random times where her computer would shut off. My computer used to do this, but it stopped randomly.
What might be the cause for these random shutdowns?

With no power, comes no responsibility.

CPU overheating possibly. Or it could be the power supply.
It could be a virus maybe? Or maybe Anti-Virus or Windows updates restarting the computer?

I remember in CS:CZ where you could run admin commands to screw with their system. Including (from what I remember) shutting down their computer and opening the disk tray. Hahaha epic stuff.
If she isn't on CZ when it happens though, I would guess... Loose connections? <-Just to make my post somewhat legit, with at least a guess that might help haha.
my room mate had this problem a few years ago, turned out to be a shit ton of dust sitting on his fan that burned a lil hole in his cpu i belive.. so yeah, prlly maybe overheating. Your kinda screwed if this is the case....

tnt's ideas are never correct. IF she wasn't lying to you, her computer is overheating. But since she is, she's just signing off of skype, broseph.

She programed her PC to shut off at seemingly random times by the simple pressing of a hot key. You just happened to hit it.
She's lying to you bro.
