66 tick vs 100 tick

I have been to a lot of surf servers recently and I noticed that our 100 tick server has been really easy compared to others. I have an idea. What if we get 1 more surf server which I no doubt will help cover most of the costs, that is 66 tick skill surf and the other can be 100 tick deathmatch (Not deathmatch mod) but maps like Master Exploder and buck wild etc. It may be impossible to do but I think it would have a better outcome because the "pros" will go to the skill surf and the "newbies" will go to the DM surf. Its just an idea.

It also seems that a server being 100 tick greatly attributes to all the ramp glitching that occurs in the server. Possibly run a trial with the server running 66tick and see how things go?

I think newbs want to try skill maps too. And ive heard that 66tick is harder to surf which makes it even more impossible for the newbs that want to try. So I would say not only skill on 66 but also on 100. I may be mistaken that 66 is harder to surf.

66 is harder to surf and most of the skill maps are made for 66 tick servers. Look at surf_fruits on stage Grape. When you hit the boost and turn around I most of the time hit the roof because I have so much speed. I havent been able to once beat surf_fruits on the SG surf server due to the 100 tick but I have beaten it once on a 66 tick server.

ALL surf maps are made for 66 tick. This is the only server ive ever seen with 100 tick on surf maps... It's quite retarded actually. Skill maps are made for 66 tick, face it.. Think of it this way. With 100 tick, maps are like not even fun like Lore and Fruits cuz theres some asshole who's gonna beat bonus in 5 seconds. Let me tell you, the bonus's are quite hard with 66 tick and would make the server more enjoyable to the newb who gets no time to surf the map... I'm telling you, change the server to 66 tick.

EDIT: FFS im looking around on the forum and 90% of the posts say, "I'm not too sure what the differences between the ticks are, but I hear 66 tick makes it harder cuz its less smooth." WTF is this shit? 66 tick is what its made for. 100 Tick makes it easier 66 tick doesn't make it harder. 33 tick would make it harder get your shit straight.

I've kept asking for 66 tick again because 100 tick really does make these maps too easy. YOU watch any of the surfers try the fruits bonus on 66 tick. I guarantee nobody will beat it (unless they've practiced it before). If these "newbs" WANT to play these skill maps, like boob said, they will continue to try these skill maps even if they are hard or not. People say it's going to be too hard for the newbs. Shit, I doubt I could do sandman, ixtab, etc. on 66 tick, but that's the fun. Skill surf is supposed to be a challenge, it's why it's called a skill map lol. That doesn't mean they're ALL going to be like that. You still have platinum, lore, delusion for the people who haven't been surfing that long. Surfing should be at 66 tick. That's what the maps are for and that is what pretty much ALL surf servers have. I really think we should make the switch.

I agree change the server to 66 tick it will reduce the Surf Ramp Glitching and generally make surfing better
