    PERP scripts

    I acquired a decent copy of Perp back in August and am starting to come back to my original idea on it. I want to replace the "weed.mdl" for something like this http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=68156 . So far I was able to get the pot model in with everything (npc shops and player uses) but the actual plant itself seems to be the problem. What I'm trying to do is makes the plant grow like it does in that file instead of it expanding like it does in regular PERP. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, please reply.

    Do you mean that the actually weed plant is sticking to the actual models on the garrysmod site? So you want the weed plant in-game to follow each seperate model, so say you start off with the first plant, then over a certain time as the plant grows you want a certain model to show? If that is correct you need to make a lua grow script (Don't tell me how I don't do scripting) basically what you need to do it name each one of the plant models, then tell the script to change the orignal model with the next one over a certain time, for example;

    original model "plant1" <5="plant "" or something along those lines, though that script wont work as you need to tell garrys mod what "original model" is

    Yeah, you got the grasp of it. I might just replace the npc all together with drug machine or something that doesn't include as assigning codes to a specific location. Perhaps I'll launch on a SRCDS server later.
