I've found several free and decent enough guides to tell which area to go and where to find quest NPC, plus which open new ones.
Then just QuestHelper and TomTom and bam, no need to even think more than check where the NPC's were and which pointed you towards next ones.

Leveling / Gold guides are pretty much worth nothing since you can get just about as good guides fully free as the ones that cost.
