About LinkBacksAndreiD, Zero001, and myself against two Americans and a Brit. I held the bottom island on Montherme while the computers destroyed Zero's and Andrei's base with Airborn, Infantry, and Armor company. Not quite sure how they were getting recoilless rifles, callipoes, and rangers between two Americans, but whatever. After two and a half hours of hit and run tactics on their base and Zero and Andrei moving down to the island we won.

Well a Tiger Ace can down a Pershing, but other than that, no. Best defense against Axis tanks are air dropped 37mm AT guns. Best defense against Allied tanks sure as hell isn't the PaK 38 which is a worthless piece of crap. Originally Posted by Dracula

My experience with the different tanks is pretty much that en mass, allied tanks will overwhelm the superiorly armored, armed, and generally driven, axis tanks. Sure, a tiger ace at full upgrade with a set of engies near that don't die can seriously put down shermans for most of the game, but you only get one of them... and shermans, plus infantry with sticky bombs, plus satchels, plus AT guns galore, means that your tank is going to be worse for wear rather quickly.
As for German tanks, Wermacht, hands down has the better tanks, albeit slower. The PE has the AI tank and the Jagd, but that is about it... the at halftrack is worthless, as is the armored car, neither of them can really put a dent into allied armor, even at the lower levels, and get overwhelmed by allied infantry weapons.
Brit tanks in large groups backed with engies and command tanks are by far the best imho, as I can overdrive them into better positions to damage the opponent while keeping my firefly's in "pick off the dickhead trying to aim" mode.

Not to mention the ability to "dig in" makes the things likeable to movable bunkers.
How do you watch demos in COH?
