    How to: Custom CoH maps

This is a step by step tutorial on how to play custom Company of Heroes maps.

    1. Download CoH-Launcher to desktop
    2. Download a custom CoH map/.sga file to desktop Ex: 3p_ddaycoop_v12
    3. Go to your Coh Directory
    • If you installed through Steam: C:/ProgramFiles/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Company of Heroes
    • If you installed through Disk: C:/ProgramFiles/THQ/Company of Heroes
    4. Cut the CoH-Launcher from your desktop and paste it in the Coh directory
    5. Create a new folder in the CoH directory and title it "maps" (right click>new>folder, type maps)
    6. Open the CoHLauncher.exe
    7. Click on "Add a new map"
    8. Browse your desktop to find the map/.sga file
    9. On the CoHLauncher window click start game and enjoy

Whenever you want to play a custom map you have to open the game through CoH Launcher. Add a shortcut on Steam for easy access.

If you want to play custom maps that were saved as .sgb files you still have to add -dev to the end of your RelicCoH.exe target. SGA is basically CoH's version of zip. Instead of having several .sgb files to store .sga is one convenient file

The map maker can choose to create a .sga by selecting the "Export Package" option in the world builder. If only the .sgb files are available then the steps are

    1. Go to your CoH directory ...Company of Heroes/WW2/Data
    2. Inside the Data folder create a new folder called Scenarios
    3. Inside the Scenarios folder create a new folder call MP
    4. Once extracted place all the .sgb files into the mp folder
    5. Create a shortcut for RelicCoh.exe (located in the CoH directory, right click>create shortcut)
    6. Right Click on the shortcut and go to Properties
    7. add -dev to the end of the target (there must be a space between the end quote and -dev) and click OK
    8. Open CoH through the shortcut and enjoy

All .sgb files must be added to the MP folder, and the game must be opened through the shortcut with the -dev option

Here: Company of Heroes User Maps

I went online awhile back and used that same launcher you just did the tutorial to run these.

If you can pull the posts over to this thread, some of the maps are pretty badass.

Stop being a noob and save the maps you guys make as .sga
It's "Export Package" on the World Builder

It makes things easier for everyone when you distributed one .sga file, instead or several files in a .zip or .rar
