I seen someone playing it while on steam. It was called Left 4 Dead: BETA. Guess I should have took a screenshot.

You can take any program, add it to your Steam games list, and then rename it whatever you want so that when you launch the program through Steam, it will display as such to other people. I do this with games like Battlefield 1942 so I can talk with people through Steam Community overlay without having to alt+tab out.
