Sadly, this election is going to be between a senior citizen with PTSD, the Hill-dog from hell, and the political Wayne Brady...

Brace yourselves people... its going to be an interesting year.

Yup, I put in this article last night when I was responding to who I was supporting. I honestly think she didn't gain anyone and probably lost the election because of it.

Now I do like the idea of having a universal health coverage, but how Clinton seems to go about doing it is absurd. Health coverage can only effect the individual, hospitals won't bother if you don't have health coverage. So its entirely up to the individual if he/she wants health coverage, they should be penalized for not getting it.

I use the example how health coverage only effecting the individual to compare it to New Jersey State laws concerning Auto Insurance. In New Jersey Auto Insurance is mandatory, this is much more acceptable then mandatory health coverage due to the fact that Auto Insurance involves groups of individuals. If you get into an accident and the other driver doesn't have insurance, you are boned, but if you fall off a bride only you are at a loss for not getting health insurance.

I agree with Slavic. Although the form of getting Universal Health Coverage for everyone is debatable. Hillary is in favor of taxing everyone for UHC because she's rich, she can afford it. What about me? I have my own place, work two jobs and go to school. I won't beable to afford my apartment anymore if I have to give up more money. Your health is your business, my health is my business. My money is earned by me, not you. Get it?

Second thing that is wrong with taxing people for UHC. What if I decide I don't feel like working anymore.. I get fat and lazy and unhealthy. Whoa! All of the sudden I'm using my health insurance left and right because of my choice of life style while you're footing the bill for me! Not fair is it?

Think about this.. a free market for health insurance. Free negotiating with your doctors rather then Dr.'s being regulated by the government. Less regulations on doctors. Let patient, doctors sign contracts and agreements between each other (it's against the law).

Here's an interesting article I ran across. For the record, I am highly against universal healthcare in any way, shape, or form.

    http://www.freemarketcure.com/uninsu...transcript.php

Here are some of the highlights :
45 million Americans don't have health insurance. You hear this number quite a bit in the debates. Here's a breakdown of that number.

According to the US Census Bureau, 17 million of those without health insurance live in households having over $50,000 in annual income. That's 38% of the uninsured in America.

9 million - 20% of the uninsured - reside in households pulling down more than $75K a year.

Over 18 million of the uninsured are people between the ages of 18 and 34. (4) They spend more than four times as much on alcohol, tobacco, entertainment and dining out as they do for out-of-pocket spending on health care.(5) They represent 40% of the uninsured in America.

14 million people without health insurance are eligible for government health care programs like Medicaid and S-CHIP but choose not to enroll. (7) They represent %31 - nearly one third - of the uninsured in America.

The U.S. has 12 million illegal immigrants who don't buy health insurance but still get health care.
