Creating walls/floors/ceilings

I've just downloaded and installed Source SDK, and been looking at all of the website basic guides to create rooms, and after creating and hollowing it comes to a point where I cannot fill in walls, floors or ceilings, with any texture. I've read countless websites and it should be as simple as a left click. I just wanted to know, have there been any similar experiences?

Well first off... It's probably best if you don't run Counter-Strike while you are using SDK. And I'm having trouble understanding your problem... can you just not get the textures to show up in Hammer? It looks like your camera view is set to 3D wireframe, if you want the textures to show up, set it to 3D textured (click "camera" in the small window and select it from the drop-down menu). Or is your problem just that it freezes? The program is fairly glitchy and it does that alot , so you should save often. If either of those aren't your problem, could you try explaining it in more detail? Hammer just takes a while to get used to...

Ahh, it was the camera. Thank you. :D I was beginning to give up hope.

If you didn't already do it you need to press ctrl + h and set your wall thing to whatever i use 10. Heres some links to help you, they helped me a lot
