Now i know why it was removed.. because people would spam rtv after the delay seconds were gone. i got pretty pist off at it. but is there any way we can put it back but the delay second is like 10-15 minutes?. atleast we would be able to rtv again instead of waiting for the vote to come up and having shitty maps as options..

Alright, time for a long rant.

Back when we had RTV I admit, we DID keep going back to overplayed maps. I, personally, don't like All In One Velocity or the other maps like that, but I was alright with it because if we got bored we could RTV away to another map. If we hit a bad one, we could leave. True, we DID hit the same maps pretty regularly, and good maps WERE rtv'd, but this was to be expected. We usually had fun, and we still did get to play the obscure, unknown maps (thanks to the nominations, I got formally-mysterious maps like Survival played).

Without RTV, things pretty much suck. Firstly, when we hit crappy maps no one likes, we can't do anything except hope it ends soon. This CANNOT be fixed by the "map vote" module, as in several cases these maps have a handful of people who like the map and would doubtless vote "5" as much as possible. Meanwhile, we STILL hit the overplayed maps over and over, because the map vote always goes to some combo of the same maps (All in one Velocity, Hellz, etc are almost always there, followed by Jetpack which is usually there, and Kommando which is sometimes there). The difference is that we can't leave if we want too.

Some people say RTV is abused. How? The entire point of RTV is so that if the majority doesn't like a map (or the selections in the map vote), we can go somewhere else. Without RTV, about half the maps are turds that would instantly be left if we had RTV, and the other half are maps that get played over and over, without the possibility of nominations to let other, fun or new maps to get played.

Maybe RTV does take us back to the same maps at times. I admit, this is annoying, especially when it lands on Jetpack over and over again. But even without RTV, this is still happening, perhaps moreso then it was with RTV. Notice what the map composition usually is? Well, if you check too often, it will clearly appear to be centered around the overplayed maps you took away RTV to stop, followed by a ring of bad maps that get put in by people not knowing the maps/having entirely bad options, and followed by a small amount of good maps that get played maybe 10% of the time.

Taking away RTV has done nothing except leave a good portion of the server ticked off without ability to leave bad maps, and the same maps being repeated over and over because we can't nominate anything original.

Return RTV!
