Smash Maps

Could we reduce the amount of smash maps on this server or make it so that they can't be voted for everytime? Half the people can't stand playing them, and the other half love them. Something needs to be done to fix this issue. No clue what though, any suggestions?

Umm mabey get more people to vote for another map, if people want to play them a lot [the votes are for them] then let them they will get tired eventually, finnaly I dont think any server should have maps not up for vote because they are popular if youd like to not play maps soo much lets remove all good maps so all maps are hated but are equal.

I agree, no offense Paul, you're maps are great but when you play 4 smash maps in a row it kinda gets old after a while.

Although i don't think you can change that.

What I'm saying is that smash maps are in such abundance that most of the time they are put as option 1 on the vote, and you know what that means. The only time we play something different is if something else other than a smash map is on 1.

Then sir you have a problem with the 1 button on map votes even being a map the only reason your complaining is because Paul has been cranking out maps its just like on Escape when you play 2-3 maps in a row made by Bill or Atix.

Uh right, because you know the motives behind everything. The reason I'm complaining is because I was just playing on Minigames and we were on the jumper map. People rtved and a smash map was chosen. After the map changed the chat was flooded with "Another fucking smash map", "We just played this 2 minutes ago", "This map sucks cock". After about 5 seconds on that map the people complaining managed to get enough to rtv again, then guess what happened? Yes, another smash map was chosen, with the usual side-order of a complaints bombardment.

I typed this thread up in-game because it was clear something was wrong, so don't try and be a patronizing ass. I'm only stating what I see and making a complaint to try and fix that, don't jump down my throat.

Really, if people truely did not want to be on a smash map they wouldn't do what you claim to be spamming 1. Maybe its on 1 because a lot of people nominated it? Maybe people aren't just hitting 1 for the sake of hitting 1, but rather because they like smash maps? Personally i love smash maps, they never get old for me. Just because 4-5 people spam "This sux!!!111oneone" doesn't mean everyone hates it.

I hate the smash maps. They have become VERY overplayed very fast. They get really old. It's just ok, dodge blocks and run away. WOOO! THRILLING!

First time that I have read this thread. Well I cant really put my point accross withot being biased here but what I will say is I can agree with you, but not on all the smash maps.

I still enjoy a good game of mg_3k_smash_Redux, but the same cant be said for aztec smash or smash cannons.

However what I will say is im getting annoyed with playing mg_hellz_multigame all the time now.
