"iw3mp.exe(cod4)has stopped working" error

For some reason, when I installed Mcafee, my COD4 stopped working. Now when I run it, it brings up logo, screen goes black, flashes then I get a message saying "iw3mp.exe has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution..." and for the solution it says a program has caused to to crash. I re-installed, didn't work. I deleted Mcafee, restarted computer, reinstalled, restarted computer again, didn't work. I cant find out how to fix it.

Plz help, I just got game last week and I already lost so many levels.

I'm guessing you have vista, so i would run it as an administrator. Also, turn off your firewall and other stuff.

Like TCP said try running it as administrator.

If that doesn't work, Data Execution Prevention might not be allowing the program to run correctly.

Right click computer>properties>advance system settings>performance settings>Data Execution Prevention>add iw3mp.exe

If that doesn't work, try installing it under a different user account with admin rights. You can delete the account afterwards.

If that doesn't work you'll have to be more specific with the error.
