How to make and play demos?

I probably already made this topic, but I can't find it anywhere and nor can I find anything on the forums about this, so here goes.

How do you record a demo?

To record a demo.

• Open console
• Type "record demo1" without quotes. I used demo1 as an example. You can name it whatever you want. I use a bind so I quickly start a demo if needed (bind p "record demo1").
• To stop recording, type "stop" in console. Or, my bind, "bind o stop" in console.

Playing demo. For this you have two options.

Option 1

• Open console
• Type "playdemo demo1", or whatever you named the demo without the quotes.

Option 2

• Open console
• Type demoui
• Click the load button.
• Scroll the new window to browse your list of demo names and choose the appropriate one.

Also get FRAPs, great demo recording. Then just use something like microsoft movie maker to put it together.

I may sound like a newb here but after you get the demo where does it save to and how do you convert it to be on forums.

Also might need the frpas link please :P

The demos are saved in C:\Program File\Steam\steamapps\YOURUSERNAME\counter-strike source\cstrike

And it is sensible to pack it into a .rar file and upload it.
