I know that it's late for a lot of us, but take a look at this:



According to this, we have a widespread usage of computers throughout the world, amirite? So that must mean that there is a decent user-base around the globe. So why don't they visit our servers? Advertising perhaps? Fun factor? Could be a combination of all of these things.

Id say that its the distance. Most players search for servers that have <100 or <150 ping, which rules out all of the sg servers if youre in europe and asia. I guess if the servers are to have a greater audience it needs to expand, as in locations and not just cramping 20 servers in the same continent.

I kinda disagree with you on that.. There are plenty of people from Europe who play on the SG servers...

i'm from europe/belgium

and i can perfectly play on the sg-servers ...

ok my ping always is high but i never go over 150 so i don't think the distance is that much of a trouble

If you think about it soon more than half of the sg servers will be filled with people form europe :P
and i get 98 ping on sg servers soo it doesn't rule it out D: only higher when my internet is being rubbish >.>

If you were actually serious about this, which I'm not quite sure if you are, it wouldn't be too hard. Just gotta see if wolfservers or whatever you guys use for server hosting has locations in the Oceania area.


And yeah, I know that the data of the world computer usage is from 2002. Just making a point.
