"Doctors and hospitals can't decide to do better unless they know how they're doing."

The author of this article really struck a bad note with me. Doctors always do the best they can, they took an oath to do so. Not every death is the same, sometimes there are multiple complications and then to even add another factor, the patient's psyche determines a bit of his or her survival. This is not a contest.

Competition breeds improvement and advancement. I can't wait for the first Hospital pep rally for the big heart attack season coming up. I'm rooting for the John Hopkins Wildcats.

You've never been apart of a lawsuit involving doctors as the final factor, or a doctor who did nothing to help your medical problems obviously. Not all doctors are bad, but I've had my fair share of bad experiences and been involved in lawsuits where the doctors inability to make up their mind fucks up lawsuits.
