About: Written by ButterKnife: Pyatykhatky Forest, The Ukraine circa. 1989. Project Omega was a classic Soviet research program specializing in biological experiments. The "official" story was that it was a research center for disease control. In truth it had a much sinister mission. During the Soviet collapse the facility lost contact with the Kremlin, and was nearly forgotten. Eighteen years later, however, Putin's administration had finally decided to tie up loose strings...
Russian Spetznaz were deployed to the facility interior. All signs of life had long been extinguished. Long echos and bloodcurdling shrills contrast against the soft hum of Soviet-era machinery. Now, stranded in the darkness, what had been a simple mission has quickly turned into a nightmare.

Work:
I have decided to divide the maps into 3 main parts:
1st part includes the spawns and some other obstacles.
2nd part is mainly running on foot.
3rd part you take a tram to another section of the facility and from there take an elevator and escape

Is it going to be a map where the CTs have to activate a sort of self destruct somewhere and get outside before it blows or where they get towards the end and have to call in an airstrike and get picked up by a heli (or something like that)?

No what the whole map is trying to escape from the facility. Your objective is to take the old tram system to the surface. You discover that the way to the surface is blocked off so you take the tram to another section of the facility. From there to an elevator that will take you to the surface.

But what happens once the CTs make it to the surface? Does the facility explode killing all the zombies and the round ends while the elevator is going up or makes it all the way up?

The map ends while you're taking an elevator up. and the facility explodes.

Update: Instead of escaping on an elevator I will just have you escape on the tram. I will add some more part in between the beginning and the end to extend the map. The map is coming along smoothly :cool:
I should be able to finish with the first 1/3 of the map!

Oh Man I liked this idea. Can there be two ways to escape? One is the Elevator and the other be the tram.

I actually have changed up the maps ending. Through my thoughts on the map I decided just to make it so you escape on the tram. I am thinking though of rail carts for this one part which take you to another area.

And please, no secret rooms or advantage secret area's. Those maps cause the most trouble, ever.

Maybe a secret way to go, but it gets there just barely ahead of another way or at the same time. (So you can avoid a zombie ambush point or something)

Secret rooms like a disco room or credit room cause people not to play and just hang out there the whole damn round.

I really like special room where you can do sorts of stuff like disco and stuff makes the map more interesting after a while

Map is finished and ready for testing...

Note: After the map seems balanced and is tested Butterknife will spice up the map in b1.

haha well after just playing it like 5 times through by myself and then about 5 more times through with about 12 people i can say this map is pretty sweet :thumbup:

I do have a question though .. what is the whole purpose of raising the water up in that one room with the generators?

cant wait to play this map on a full server!!:partydance:

you can destroy the metal walkway so zombies need the water to go on.

oooooooooooooooooooh i was wondering why the walkway looked kinda funny at times. its all coming together :drool:
