LOL, no it's not, it's brilliant.

I'd rather have a commercial where the you see the candidate (not pictures) and he just gives me a reason as to why I should vote for him. No bashing, no trying to be hip or anything, because I couldn't care less if you know who Paris Hilton is.

Another reason why I hate presidential coverage in the US. Its all mudslinging which just degrades the whole democratic process. I'd rather see multiple debates with each candidate carefully outlining their exact policies and plans if elected. I'm tired of rhetoric and attack ads from both sides of the election.

Also I felt almost sorry for McCain yesterday while watching the Urban League come after him with everything they had...

As painful as staring at a pot of powdered magnesium igniting with nightvision on.

Russian Cold War nightvision goggles. Good ol' cancer.

I've got a 1st Generation Russian Monocular, works great if you just want to use your bathroom during a power outage.

...And if you can be arrested in the UK for yelling at someone is planting flashbombs a capital crime?

EXACTLY MY POINT. The right wing knows they can't win due to their disastrous policies and fallacies. Therefore they try to brand Obama by using his parents, neighbors, and the music he listens to. I don't see these kind of attacks from Obama. Really pathetic......

I don't really see ANYTHING from Obama in terms of policy other than one BLATANTLY socialist ad where he says he'll take money away from oil companies and give it to the people.

(Nevermind the fact that oil companies will recoup this money by charging us more and then handing it over to Obama, in the end fucking us twice. Or the fact that Oil companies are publicly traded, therefore owned by the same public he wants to fuck/help at the same time)

you act like the entire right wing has one massive agenda they all agree on, this could not be farther from the truth. A libertarian, a moderate republican, and a social conservative are all considered part of the right wing, but they are all very different.

By the way, we don't need to criticize Obama's stupid personality to prove to you he is just plain inexperienced and incapable. Any man who says we should unilaterally take our nukes off of ready-fire status and put them in storage while letting Russia keep theirs is basically to ignorant to do anything right. That one statement alone confirmed that I could never vote for the guy. Anybody who knows dick about the Cold War and our current relationship with Russia and other rogue nuclear nations should know enough not to say something so retarded.

Obama also said something else damning recently, he said that we need to draw down like, 5 of our combat brigades in Iraq to add more to Afghanistan, which is totally wrong. We have enough combat brigades at home right now that we can add more to Afghanistan, not to mention that our surge forces are coming home as we speak. Obama's general ignorance about war and diplomacy with hostile nations plain scares me. The only thing he talks about is our image to the rest of the world, but that image won't matter if we don't ever have the balls to defend our interests.

We didn't build a first-class military to be a second-rate power, we built it to project our strength across the globe and defend ourselves. Considering a linear rate of military growth/development, we will still be the sole military superpower for at least another 50 years (remember, this is linear, not reality, in which we actually develop faster). This means that we have to build a strong, unified foreign policy of multilateral engagement when possible and unilateral engagement whenever necessary, Obama has made it clear that he will never unilaterally engage any nation militarily no matter the cost in order to preserve our image. This policy will make all of the USA's military capital worthless for a very long time, something we cannot afford as our economic dominance is slowly negated by the EU, China and India. I would love to live in a world even if the superpower was not the USA, but some other free-market republic/democracy. However, this will never happen if we let rogue states stay rogue and we sit by as totalitarian states consolidate their power and form small empires. Obama will let this happen, God help us if he becomes President...

Hahahaha, just when I thought people couldn't be any more stupid.

First question for you -- Why the fuck is it the President's sole fault that a natural disaster strikes and screws stuff up? Shouldn't it be the responsibility of the STATE where it happens to help people out? The United States government is NOT your daddy and shouldn't have to wipe up your mess when you spill your sippy cup. If you choose to live in an area prone to NATURE doing what NATURE does, then that's your own damn prerogative. Don't build your shit on beaches if you're worried about hurricanes washing it away. Pretty simple, I think! Why should MY tax dollars go to a state that I don't even live in? (Why should the government get any of my money, except for the stuff that goes to funding the military so they can protect us?...) Why should I be held responsible for people living in a city that was below sea level - a city that KNEW there was a risk of shit going down? I shouldn't be!

You write about this country not being a free country - Dude. Seriously? Why don't you go spend a little time in a Red country and come back and tell us how you feel about the USA then. Or perhaps you're a little closet commie and would love that. You'd like Obama to get into office to give us MORE freedom? LOLOL. Say bye-bye to a ton of your freedoms and say hello to the sunrise of socialism.

Of COURSE "Big Business" is a major part of this country. Where do you think jobs come from? Looking at the spectrum of fast food worker to Fortune 100 companies, how do you think they get money to put food on the table for their families? Big businesses employ them! There is nothing wrong with big businesses at all, perhaps you need a refresher in Capitalism 101.

Yeah, I'm blind, sure buddy. If I was blind and oblivious to everything that's happening to this country, I'd be voting for Obama.

But I will agree that I worded it poorly. Let me rephrase this.

Since when is it the just the President's responsibility to fix natural disasters? It's a state problem. It wasn't an act of war (like 9/11 or Pearl Harbor), it was a natural disaster and the state that it happened in should be responsible for fixing itself up.

How is it the government's fault that people are losing their homes? Could you elaborate on that for me? Last I checked people are supposed to be responsible for themselves - their finances, their families, their food - all things that I would call freedoms.

1. State's have to ask for Federal help to receive it, Florida has not recently requested the national guard. When Katrina hit the governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans were slow to ask for help also, which meant that the boatloads of Federal aid that were at the ready arrived too late to help a lot of people.

2. Obama is treated a bit like a savior by the media, so pardon me but get the fuck over it. When people talk about how great a junior senator with no real political experience will be when given the most important job in the world, I just feel a little shocked. Is he really the best guy the country has? A smooth talker with big words like "faith" and "change" but no plans or experience to back it up?

3. High gas prices are not caused entirely by Big Oil. Most of it is the OPEC (oil producing and exporting countries) using price controls, state and government taxes, and high demand coupled with low supply. Heavy government regulation on drilling and refining operations also adds to prices. Ultimately, however, we will need the government to allow development of other cheaper fuel sources like nuclear and the development of extraction techniques for Shale Oil (of which we have a lot, but do not pump out of the ground thankyou bill clinton).

4. No need to call someone with a different opinion blind, I see very clearly myself. However, these are complicated issues and they have many solutions... Its just that mine are the best ;)

That's not all you can do! If you feel strongly about something, go out and fight for it! While we don't have the same political views, it's still admirable to believe strongly in something (even though I'm pretty positive you guys are wrong :001_tongue: ) That's a great thing about this country - we're able to stand up for what we believe in without getting killed by our government.

Fairness doctrine anyone?

For Vannish: The freedom's you love oh so much, you can kiss many of our BASIC ones good bye if Obama gets in. Example: Aforementioned fairness doctrine, if anybody in the media expresses a certain point of view on the political spectrum, they must "balance it" by giving the other side equal air time even if it is unprofitable.

You can thank RONALD REAGAN for restoring free speech.
