The *NAPALM* server has moved to 208.167.224.74:27015. It is a 45 slot server with a different host and should have ZERO lag. You might also notice that this is the same ip as the current *RELOAD* server. We are basically combining both servers into one but upping the player slots to 45. I think this will be a great move because it will allow more slots and a better playing experience with limited to no lag.

Right now the list of maps on the new server is a little shorter than the old napalm but we are working to add some more.

Great , I was able to get on the 45 slot server for a few good games last night. Will the mics stay on that server or will we still have to talk using vent?

:welcome:

I'm 99% sure we are keeping the mics this time around.

Well now my ping is 140(loss and choke)...I cant even play. All other servers work perfectly fine so its not my connection.

where do you live? The old server was in dallas and the new server is in NY. If your on the west coast there is a chance your ping would go up 20-40 points. But, you should be able to get under a 100 ping from anywhere to anywhere in the US.

This is so fucking great. Since its in New York, my ping is 10 and below. Fucking A!

Even with higher ping for some, it won't be as laggy for them.

Nopeee, generally my ping to west is 150 and I live in NY. I also use roadrunner, but rarely will I ping below 100 to west servers. :] I ping 70ish to texas. A lot of it just depends on the persons connection. Zombie mod doesn't really depend on ping as much as normal gameplay does. It's easily playable with 100ping. :/

We had ~40 people on last night, and were experiencing intense start-of-round lag on one map. I forgot the name of it, it has a building in the middle, a lower level that you can turn the lights off in, and a trolley thing that can carry you to a tower.

After we got off that map it was alright, but I don't think that map will work out.

My ping is ~160 now, as opposed to 140, so yea. It's okay.

^Map is zm_towers^

and that map seems to lag horribly no matter what.

Ping never seems to be an issue on zm servers. As long as your not lagging you'll be okay. We have guys in Europe that average in the 150-200 range and they do just fine.

zm_towers is a lag fest at startup. There are rounds where everyone locks up. The spawn points are all clustered together in one area, and with everyone trying to buy and move at once the server gets overwhelmed.

Yeah im on the far west coast, California. My ping used to be 80-90 on a full server. Now its up toward 140 when theres 30+ people. Whats weird is that when there is a few people like 10, my ping is 80 then slowly rises when people start joining.

Heh, it lagged the entire game at every round-start. The bad thing is that it lagged so long that the zombie spawned right there when the lag stopped, and nobody had moved yet, so there were always at least 7 zombies at the round start.

Heh, I have a ping of about 20-30 when a map first starts up (I'm always the first person in), but then as people join up it spikes to 140 then holds steady. This is true of most servers.

Lately rounds have been starting with the "beginning - round lag" , even on aim. Is there any fix for this...it's inconvenient

Hopefully when I come around there at 10 30 AM it'll be better...

It generally does that, I can't exactly explain why. But the more people on a server=the higher everyones pings will be.

damn, no wonder my ping was such crap compared to before, im in austin tx, so i went from 20-30 to around 60 or 80, not to bad though, but not 0 lag for me.
