So I pledged to this game, it looks like it will do petty well.

Since I've been playing Project Reality, which has gotten much more popular recently, I've been having a blast. But now, EA being the oldfart assholes that they are, they have to make their own game in order to accomplish what they wanted in the mod, but were originally impossible due to the limits of the BF2 engine. Now that it's already funded, with the russian forces goal just reached yesterday, would this been a new game we could expand to? At the very least, we can see if starting a project reality server would do for us right now until Squad is released on steam. Every stretch goal you see on the kickstarter will eventually be added in the game, but the goals are there for faster development of those assets.

If you don't understand how Project Reality works, watch this short list of videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMm7lOOQrXA&list=PLwZmHTMt5Sz871Kcx6zOrRQK0yfYRvIIE

Looks pretty nice overall, possibilities and planning gets you far in this game. I actually started to consider if I will go get this game when it's released. :)

The other you mentioned, Project Reality, seems nice too so I might check it out when I get around to install BF2. :)
A little shame that the game engine limits the possibilities to expand tho.. :/

I've never gotten into playing Project Reality unfortunately, however I've always been interested in the community, that is when it comes to the mil-sim aspect. I did watch some game-play of this game that is currently in development and it looks promising.

They made a standalone version of the game, you don't need to get BF2 anymore. just need to get a torrent downloading program.

Pretty much interested into checking it out of curiosity, more than for other reasons. Pretty much like to just try things out, even if the game is older and I happen to own it. :)

I've played Project Reality for the first time the last two days and I must say it's fun when you're looking for military simulation. I wasn't aware they made a standalone version of the game, which is why I've never tried it before.

The graphics aren't top notch, but that doesn't even matter when it comes to mil-sim, it's the experience that matters. The people playing the game aren't there to troll. They all play the game to get the same experience, you can tell it by the way everyone plays and how they follow simple orders from their fellow teammates. Which gives me a lot of hope for the upcoming game by them, which is Squad and I'll definitely be looking forward to get my hands on this!

Also, just found this out. You can still get the perks for donating since the kickstarter is over. Don't know if SG is thinking of making their clan on the upcoming game, but the last perk or the one before it would help. Just wish it didn't cost too much.
