Ok heres where you will run into problems... Will need some more info.

1)What router do you have
2)Does the wireless have a password
3)What wireless card is in your pc

So what I can say is this..Wireless is not so great for gaming, as you found out, as it isnt a constant/reliable signal between your laptop and you router.

A few more questions!!!
1)How far away are you from your router? any walls between your laptop and the router?

There might still be hope with your current setup but without knowing the wifi signals all around you, its hard for me to give any real tips on how to improve your signal. Head over to http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wifi_information_view.html#DownloadLinks

Download-->Extract--->Run WifiInfoView.exe
Take a screenshot of all the wireless signals your laptop is picking up and post a screenshot here. (Either prt sc it or use gyazo). Here is mine for example

1st thing, simply unplug your router from the power source for a few seconds then plug it back in.. once its all up again read on.

I notice ALOT of devices around you (including yourself)is on the channel 1.

Follow this guide http://www.linksys.com/th/support-article?articleNum=136797 and change your channel from 1 to either 9 or 11 (as they seem to be the least conjested around you).

After that open up WifiInfoView again to confirm the new channel, then run a speedtest again and post a screenshot of the speedtest.

Gamers generally like to turn off all automatic updates so they don't suck out your bandwidth while playing.
Personally I've turned all automatic updates to notify me, when ever there is update available but not to download it automatically.

Also, to stabilize my LTE (Mobile Broadband) connection while I play, I have an internet radio streaming in background. Keeps the connection open basically, where as without mobile connections tend to be otherwise a bit unstable for gaming. :/
ps. The internet radio streaming trick works for WLAN/Wireless too.

Is this a new computer or is this an issue just starting? If the latter, mayhaps doing a system restore to a time before could reset this.

bumping this because i seem to have over 200+ ping every single fucking day and it only goes down to like 60 1% of the time

i switched to the channels like labarr told me to do and i tried every one of the channels he reccomended but i still get skyrocketing ping

theres only 2 people in my house who use the internet often and even when he has his computer off my shit is still pretty high

could it be some sort of app that is running in the background that makes me lag?

send help asap rocky
