Why do we not have this yet?
The profit earned from the merch could be used for the donation goal, and ud have free advertisement if someone wud walk around in an SG hoodie or something. :o

Shouldn't be that hard to make, get some black hoodies/shirts, put the SG logo on there and wham.
Now, I may be wrong, cause I know nothing about merchandise, but wouldnt this be worth looking into?

we had a store, with SG Thongs and underwear. The supply to demand isn't worth it. if a group of 40~+ wants a shirt or smthing then it breaks even barely (at a good price). but pumping out one or two cost waay too much for a good quality decal and such + shipping to anywhere

There are plenty sites where you can open online stores completely free. You only get a percentage of what a shirt sells for, but then we dont need to worry about money and the demand for a product. What sells sells and thats it :P

SG used to sell merchandise but it turned out that almost nobody wanted to buy shirts featuring an obscure online gaming community. This was a time when the community was maybe 5-6 times bigger than today.


However, if what floffy posted is possible then I am all ok with selling stuff again. As long as it costs us nothing.

This seems like a really good idea, we won't be dependant on SG-only items, which would increase demand.

The only problem with this idea is that we need dedicated people that every now and then can design t-shirts. They would have to be made from scratch so we dont get any legal issues, and it would have to have a certain quality.

If this store is something people want, and we do have some creative souls here that would be interested in making some designs i'd be happy to open a online store.

The designs should not just be some variation of the SG logo but rather also cool art that non-SG people would want to buy.

+1 for the mouse pads. If someone can get me high quality/large logos I can get them made for like $11 not inc shipping. Whoever has the original logos and can extend the backgrounds/sizes let me know.

Thats why I asked if anyone has the original image files. The one you see there I cannot extend to cover the whole pad because it has a gradient and it wont look good to just add some gray to the top and black to the bottom. All of the single SG logos are too small/too low res to work with. The SG logo on a circular mousepad would look good

I tried to buy a t-shirt so that I could post pics with an SG shirt on while travelling, say at the Christ statue in Rio, or Disneyland w/the family Etc.
But my order was refunded by Garf after waiting for like 3 months.

If you can pull it off where it doesn't cost SG up front I don't see why we wouldn't give it a shot.

Elemental You need to get out more then. :) I have seen a naked black midget running around a hospital whacking people with a bedpan
in the kneecaps while being chased by security. Working with what I got from the fourms. Need the originals.
Itch That "ridiculous" site I posted lets you create whatever yoy want with the logos no upfront cost no minimum. Just need a high qquality set to upload then people can make whatever they want.

Like people are saying, it would be neat to have merchandise but downside is usually having upfront costs. If it doesn't cost for the community, we get right people on it, it could be pulled off.
