Found this on Allied Modders today:

CS:GO Movement Unlocker (https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=255298)

Removes max speed limitation from players on the ground. Feels like CS:S.

Movement in CS:GO differs from CS:S in that players stopped immediately when touching the ground instead of sliding with their current velocity. This is annoying for surfing and bunny hopping.

While trying to find a proper fix for the weapon knock back in Zombie:Reloaded, gamemann and I finally found a way which feels like the knock back in CS:S.

Basically just fixes the movement issues in general with CS:GO which coincidentally also fixes knockback / velocity issues with zombie knockback.

Edit: This does make bunny hopping possible but only in rare circumstances such as when you jump off a moving vehicle. In normal cases with default stamina settings everything should be fine.

Check out the difference:

More technical explanation here:

Basically makes knockback a lot less jerky and more "smooth".

(this is due to the fact that CS:GO resets velocity if you are touching the ground at all)

I was aware of the fix since its release, and in fact, its running on mg to allow bhop. However, from my point of view, there's not really any significant changes between the two of them, therefore, I decided to not switch it.
