My hard drive C has ran out of space. It's an SSD card with 118 GB usable space but only 70 GB is taken. It's come to my attention because when I restarted my computer, it started doing a disk check automatically.

Ive searched google and already did:

- Disk cleanup.(only 50 MB)
- clean temp. files with ccleaner
- disabled hibernation (powercfg -h off)

Also Downloaded a program to see everything on my C drive, so pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys were taking up another 20GB+(16GB RAM).
This totals my used space on ~90GB. Whats the other 25GB ??

118GB? That's... unusual.
Have you tried...

Control Panel > System & Security > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management (wait for it to load. it might take some time depending on how many storage drives you have)

You will now see all the partions for your storage drives.
Check your C: drive. It might have some unallocated space, and if it does, you might be able to use that space with the partion you wish to extend.

It seems like whatever the problem is it's not partion related.
If you have disabled hibernate mode, and you still think you are missing out on 20 gigs (and you are 100% it's not your OS), you might want to use a disk analyzer like WinDirStat (http://windirstat.info/download.html) to check up on what's using all of your drive space.

Ok so some files take a lot more space than I knew. It's weird how I had 20 GB of free space for over a year and I dont know what I changed to make it all fill up. Because as you can see, my program files/data aren't taking up much space either.
