Extreme Potatoes and I are working on a new TTT map that is a mall. It's a medium sized map. Think Roy The Ship x2. Texture detail is very important to me and making it all look nice and clean, while trying to keep the download size small. I have a few questions for those who play TTT:

1. Do you want a tester? It would be the kind of tester that is in 67thway.
2. Traitor traps that are one use. Do you like um?
3. Objectives such as setting off bombs in the mall as traitors, or evac as innocent.

Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated! At this point I only have finished laying out the place, and making the bathroom area (that i was thinking could be flooded as a trap)

Didn't think custom door models were worth the download time, maybe ill look into it.

Lighting looks strange in bathroom + add some colour maybe, grayscale is boring.

Tester: yes but make it like Minecraft where you need something to use it like the gold block.

Traitor traps: maybe a floor trap that drops you into spikes and a bathroom that locks and maybe burns or floods?

Overall a mall map sounds kinda cool, just add a lot of rooms and things to do and hide bodies.

But seriously thanks for the feedback! Those were my plans for those kinda of things spyder so it's good to see we want the same things. Kippe I thought the same thing in regards to the colors, I promise the main lobby/shops will be much more colorful.

Yes, a tester is always optional to use for the players to find out if the people around them are innocent. Adding a tester doesn't mean people are forced to use it, only if you keep wandering around the tester a detective might order you to get tested for his own safety.

2. Traitor traps that are one use. Do you like um?
Yes & No. Depends on how well the traps are balanced, they shouldn't be overpowered. An idea; create a vent in one of the restrooms, that is leading to somewhere else in the map. Have the door of the restroom be lockable for 30 seconds by a Traitor, so whenever that traitor knifes someone in the restroom they can lock the door and quickly jump in the vent, making their way to wherever the vent leads them.

Or instead of a vent you could create a hole in the whole at one of the toilets, so that you could quickly move yourself to the room next to it.

Some traitor objectives might be nice. No instawins tho they rarely work well. Something like the small traitor objectives in thething(poison, blowing the oven).

Yeah, I agree, me and Fwutter have both been deciding on traitor traps. A lot of them might be taken from other maps, we haven't made a final decision yet though. Someone had asked that we add a similar traitor trap like on community pool, where you can lock a room off and drown it.

I was pretty lazy so there's not much of an update other then it being laid out and i started on the walls, windows look bad in these pictures but there just there as a filler. No lighting either.

I like the grayscale.
Make the tester hard to get to.
So far looks like amazing architecture, I wouldn't be able to do that.

Me and Squid have been slacking lately, just kinda forgot about the map, but we plan on working on it again very soon.

Look's good add some car's that are up for display like in most malls and door that can be closed like security doors on some shops, ATM's that maybe move to open for vent and fountain with water. Support desk that has maybe a key card that opens a door with security cameras.
