Has anyone seen this show? Its a bit on the wild side. Originally a British drama, they are remaking it as a American show (a bit like the Office, UK and US).

Life on Mars (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=6&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Flifeonmars%2F&ei=OIMsSJfRIIPCeZC74a0K&usg=AFQjCNFFTGw6EgwmL7AxDco4piiuIwfVdA&sig2=4aa-WULW6WKN5wAgAf6jfg)

Plot:

Sam Tyler, a modern day (2006) police detective in London has a car accident. As victim of a hit and run, he loses consciousness. When he wakes up, he is a newly transferred detective to the London Police detective in 1973..

So hes settles for solving crimes and trying to find a way home. Various clues reveal themselves throughout the series, hes actually in a coma in a hospital. No I didnt spoil anything, the coma is revealed in the first episode.

It sounds weird, or even a bit boring, but its a great series. My only worry is that the American version will be undeniably screwed up. American TV producers have habit of having REALLY bad ideas that force themselves into the shows they host. Sam is by no means a huge fist wielding hunk of a policeman- He's a Detective, and thats what he does best, gather clues etc. Lets hope he uses his brain more than his fists in the US version.
