I was just curious if anybody from the forum listens to trance music.
So if you do, state your favourite song(s) and DJ/Producer.

Mine are :
Song : Above & Beyond - No One On Earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix) all time fave
DJ/Producer : Ferry Corsten

hell fucking yes...but only quality trance and some vocal stuff. Armin van Buuren is a GOD to me, his state of trance mixes are so so epic. I got most of them through usenet...but they're good. :thumbup1:

I wanna hear your stuff Jack where would I go for that?

And I go to Newgrounds for my trance techno DnB and hip-hop, they have their own individual styles and rarely are the same. Thats why I love NG. I'll post some links to some of my fav loops.

I got into production about a year ago so I just about got the hang of things, will probably send a couple of demos to some labels pretty soon so I can see if my music is crap or not.

lol I hope I don't seem to be advertising another website but if you create an account on Newgrounds.com and you can upload your music there and get reviews from a bunch of people and then you will know if its good or not.

I'd say that's more along the lines of electro and '80s techno with some hints of tribal.

I got Pop more than anything else, can't put a finger on the time line, I'm guessing late '90s.

Here's an example of trance: http://youtube.com/watch?v=g03QdV8rlCo

A couple other favorite genres of mine are techstep and dnb, here's some examples of those: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AEEQGddavb0 and http://youtube.com/watch?v=GfGHAUfXyKY:cool:

WOW, epic guide! I like how you can click on the numbered circles for each category to hear different tracks. I'd never think to classify Wreckx-n-effect as "dirty south rap" rofl!

Trance is pretty much the only genre of electronic music I can stand for more than one track, but I don't really listen to it anymore. I get halfway through making a track once in a while but I don't use arepeggiators so it's really time consuming and I get bored.
