Well i have a Windows Update problem, which i have considered calling Windows about, but the problem is that it says it has Important Updates, so i install them, but nothing happens for hours, it stays on 0% upated.. and then i have this problem with css, i start up css (and this problem just started like 2 days ago) i start up css, then i join a server sometimes it works, but sometimes it stops att "Sending Client Info" at the 2 last bars, then it freezes for like 10 min, then i press Ctrl + alt + delete, then i get activitivymanager up and close css, and then the whole pc freezes, and soemtimes it doesnt, so i try to start up css, but it says i am already runnning css, so i try to restart my pc through the Windows menu Bar, but i can even get it up, cuz my pc freezes, and then i have to hold down the power button on my laptop to force shut down, and then i start it up again, i run css, and same problem again.... Please help any suggestions? Im atm planning on re-installing Steam

This sounds massively fucked, the first issue regarding Windows Update and connecting to Source servers is probably due to an internet connection. Are you on wireless? How fast is your internet connection?

Run pingtest.net and speedtest.net and report results.

As for second issue this could be a variety of things, but first see if you can solve the internet issues, if your computer is continually freezing it might be time to reinstall Windows or even replace hardware (however you may need to send your laptop in for repairs to Packard).

With all of the issues listed and the fact that you have norton anti virus, it all leads me to believe it is most likely a virus, malware, rootkit, etc. something along those lines. How long have you had this laptop and is it the original install of windows on it? It could also be hardware related but I find that highly unlikely because it doesn't crash when you try to do windows updates, it just doesn't do them.

I would download Malwarebytes (http://malwarebytes.org/) (the free one) and run a full scan. Give it at least an hour, but if it gets stuck on any one file while scanning for more than 5 minutes it is probably frozen. At that point, reboot and just do the quick scan.

Yea Im on Wireless, and umm this problem just started, i do tho not think its internet connection problem, well the windows update problem, is with the installing, i have already downloaded them, its just the installing were it never works, it just freezes on 0% and the computer is on for hours, and about connecting to servers, its only sometimes, like after i have connected to 2 servers or map changes, then it freezes. Umm here are the results of Speedtest -> http://www.speedtest.net/result/1431074458.png (http://www.speedtest.net)
and here of Pingtest -> http://www.pingtest.net/result/45203539.png (http://www.pingtest.net)

Also get rid of norton for gods sake, it's as bad as a virus in its own right.

If problems arise again just put all your important stuff on a USB and reformat your harddrive and reinstall win7

So, you're saying that something from Norton caused the problem? If so, that's just another reason to get rid of it now, instead of waiting till it expires.

Not surprised, but still wanted to doublecheck that his computer wasnt an old pentium era briefcase or something.
