Well, with the mobo you've listed, the fastest RAM you can get is 667. My mobo supports Dual Channel DDR2 800, but it costs nearly 200 bucks lol.

The motherboards FSB rating is 1066/800MHz the CPU's FSB is 1333MHz. It won't work.

I think this motherbaord should work fine. its rated at 1333MHz and higher, ontop of that it says it supports core 2 duo. let me know if this will work fine with my CPU.

The DS3L is a great board, but why such a pricey chip on a budget PC?

An E7200 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115052) would've been a better cpu and it cost less.

As far as the boards P35>G31>GeForce 7100

NIKO, I just built my dad a budget computer and used the first MoBo you had listed there. It posted first try for me, OC's like a champ, and had everything I needed in a budget board. My only 2 knocks against it was it only had 2 slots for memory, (so if you ever wanted 4Gbs RAM, you would have to by 2x2GB sticks, instead of 2 sets of very affordable 2x1GB sticks) and it only had a place to directly plug 1 case fan to the mother board. A simple adapter allowed my other 2 fans to work, but it was a bit of a nuisance.

Long story short, anyone of those boards should be okay.

Oh, and if you are willing to anti-up a bit you can get a Q6600 (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0287043) Quad Core for $200. Be careful though, I haven't tried this CPU in any of these motherboards, so I'm not sure its 100% compatible. It should work, but sometimes things are a little screwy. Also, this is OEM, so no cpu fan is included. If you are with in range of a Micro Center store, you can get one with a fan for the same price.

The CPU Zero recommended is a great one too.

Edit:Sorry, I lied, this is actually the MoBo I used:

Pretty similar though.

i would like to know if this power supply would work well with my Gigabyte p35-s3g MOBO and my core 2 duo CPU

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2872506&cp=&sr=1&origkw=power+supply&kw=power+supply&parentPage=search

its a good price and I wont have to deal with shipping because If they ship it to my store, its no extra cost. BUT I would like to know if it is compatible with my MOBO.
