Every year the U.S. gives Pakistan roughly 1.2 billion dollars to take on the Taliban and AL Qaeda stationed in their country yet the recent killing of Bin Laden proves that they have not.

I mean there are numerous articles about this an proof from U.S. troops on the ground and these new Wikileaks yet we keep pumping and funneling money to a country that is half our ally and our greatest enemy. Hiding the Taliban and having training camps cost lives, American lives. There was a suicide bombing a couple days ago and 6 servicemen were killed...paying for own own people's deaths..:confused1:

Here's a video of the Head of the Afghan Intel (Well he quit because Karzai started brown nosing the ISI.)

Anyway I'm probably going to major in Bio and minor in Political Science and thought to bring this up.

Here's another nifty video if you have time. it's actually better than the first video I posted.

Still less than the Bush era tax cuts and entitlement spending? I think so.

The false war that we were dragged into in Iraq was the main cause of this debt.

Solution: Return to the tax rates we had from roughly 1917 to 1981 and close all the loopholes that let businesses make hundreds upon hundreds of billions of dollars in profits while paying exactly dick in taxes.

If only Obama and Congress would do that... there are companies that literally rake in the money, but pay dirt in taxes. Same with the wealthy, (more towards the super wealthy, but still).

Yes, they still pay taxes. They just use clever loopholes in the tax code to get out of paying a majority of it.

If by "majority" you mean that they not only pay no taxes whatsoever but also got money FROM the government then yes, although that's an interesting way of saying it.

They pay taxes, it just happens that their kickbacks exceed their expenses. Net gain, yes.

The get subsidized loans, and loans without interest. They also get refunds exceeding their taxes. Bullshit.

Why are you so insistent that these companies have a non-zero tax liability despite every report on taxes and megacorps specifically pointing out that they not only got money back but ALSO had no tax liability? The only reason I can think of would be political.
