Could you take a picture for us? Can you try spamming F8 right after the first boot screen until you get a menu for safe mode?

You shouldn't need to buy a new hard drive. Is your HDD IDE or Sata?

Sata Cable;

I should be able to help you fix it, just a word of warning though, you will have to open the side up, disconnect/connect some wires.

I have no problem opening it up. I did it too when Spiffy was telling me what to do.

Going on the information in this thread, we have a possibly defective hard drive. It will be cheaper to buy a hard drive and install an OS rather than taking it to a shop to let them do it.

Once you have a hard drive, let us know and we can help you through getting Windows on it.

i figured it was the hard drive. Installing a new one and getting that to work wont be a problem.

Thanks for all the help guys.
