This isn't a poll on which is better....it's abt which one YOU want to use

Teamspeak.

Prez

Vent since I have no issues with it at all.

I have no problems using TS if we do switch over.

Ventrilo or civil war.

I honestly don't care, I have both installed. Which ever turns out out to support a lot of players the best for the least amount of money.

why not mumble?? mumble.sf.net
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Mumble is tons better than Vent and Teamspeak.

1) 100% Free - can run it on any OS, any server platform, etc. Code is 100% open source. (Will no longer need to rent from a vent/ts server provider, saving tons of cash)
2) Unlimited slots.
3) Tons of better quality codecs that give tons better voice quality while still keeping bandwidth used very low.
4) Did I mention it's free?
5) HUGE game support, tons better than Vent.
6) Positional audio (http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Games#Positional_audio) - the voice of your teammates comes from their direction in game.
7) Game overlay - see who is currently talking while still ingame - don't need to alt-tab out to see who is speaking.
8) Did I mention it's awesome?
9) Tons more. Seriously tons better than TS/Vent.

I'm not a fan of mumble. I downloaded it a while back and I didn't like the feel of it.

If what yous ay is true, then I want this bitch. I've always been searching for a way to make vent/TS able to show who's talking ingame..

It does take a bit of getting used to -- it's different than Vent in the way the UI looks and behaves, but not necessarily "harder". In fact I find it easier compared to Vent. :D

Mumble is actually not that bad of a choice.

Mohawk is good too if you want to aim for simplicity though. Voice quality is pretty good and the UI is as simple as Ventrilo's.

why is there no vent because it's better option or teamspeak because I'm used to it option. Biased poll sounds biased.

everyone uses vent already.. so unless teamspeak has something REALLY cool that vent doesnt have.. Stick with vent.

PingPong

For the user, I can't find any big difference's. But the beuty of TS3 is that a license for a 250 slot server is free for the host if you don't want to gain any money on it. Just saying.

Vent wins.
