I get this in the console when I play GMod, it causes unbearable lag.

NET_GetLong: Ignoring duplicated split packet 2 of 2 ( 111 bytes ) from 72.26.196.166:27015
NET_GetLong: Ignoring duplicated split packet 1 of 2 ( 1248 bytes ) from 72.26.196.166:27015
NET_GetLong: Ignoring duplicated split packet 2 of 2 ( 64 bytes ) from 72.26.196.166:27015

Only happens on GMod servers.

I googled search it and no solution came up.

is that ip the duplicated packets came from the gmod server? or something else? that would be a good place to start.

Did this just start out of the blue? Did you change anything recently? Do you have access to you router? You should try port forwarding 27015-27020 TCP

Been happening for a bit, most of the times its manageable and goes away, but just got too annoying and frequent lately. Yea I have access and idk how to port forward. If I go to 192.168.1.1 it asks for a username and password, which I do not know.

go HERE (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm)e

it will give u step by step instructions... Pick ur router, pick ur game, access the router, enter the ports..

for linksys routers i know you gotta leave username blank and for password its: admin

I imagine he probably changed the password. You should ask him to forward the ports for you.
