i got this error when i tried to run gmod wtf does it mean :mad::censored::mad::mad2:

This has happened to me several times.

Happened to me. Restart steam. Then if that doesnt work, log off then back on. And finally, reinstall steam and all of your games in it.. Last option sucked but thats what i ended up having to do. Sorry :/

Remove everything in the steam folder except: steam.exe and your steamapps folder.

Start steam.exe and steam will update and your problem should be solved. (Your steamgames won't be deleted, because you still have them in your steamapps folder)
