Hey, try to remove the ClientRegistry.blob in your C:/program files/steam folder and try again.

Question

I'm receiving an error when I try to start Steam with the message "Steam.exe (main exception): CMultiFieldBlob(pSerialized):" followed by a specific reason - how should I fix this?

Answer

Solution for Windows

To fix this error use the following steps:

Exit Steam
Navigate to your Steam installation directory. (C:\Program Files\Steam\ by default.)
Delete everything in that directory EXCEPT the following:

steam.exe
steamapps directory (All of Steam's game files are kept here.)

Restart Steam to test the issue

Look guys, the Tech Support bucket is here for a reason, if you don't have anything to say which can help the matter, then please don't.

Yes, it did work, Exacto-Be just forgot to update the title (I assume, anyways. 2+ weeks with no reply and "MY HERO" video posted).

and how does what you just said help the matter

from what he posted he has solved the issue by deleting the .blob

in future if you have problems try deleting the .blob 1st because that is what causes alot of the problems
