Here's something that's been bugging me for a while. In both of my cases (Antec 900/ Corsair 700D) I've encountered a problem with only one or two of my front panel USB ports being able to support my microphone (Logitech MFR 097855016867).

I've read that this may have something to do with the onboard soundcard only allowing HD Audio through the front panel, and not the rear I/O panel. Any ideas? I hate having lots of cables in the front of my case.

if you have front panel audio enabled and dont want it to be, (the cable should have a sensing jumper that tells when a jack is plugged in,) you should be able to unplug the front stuff and plug in the back. if that doesn't work just remove the audio cable for the front connections from the motherboard and it should auto use the back.
