Hey all.

Whenever I try to use the internet (I use Chrome for browsing), I can't connect to many sites a lot of the time. I can usually get on steamgamers.com fine, but even sites like google.ca don't load, and show a "this site is unavailable" page.

Internet is connected to a router used by 5 (maybe?) computers. 100Mbps connection.

Do you have IPv6 enabled? Google has IPv6 AAAA DNS records, which if you are using IPv6 and your IPv6 provider is shitty, you will get shitty speeds.

Is this still an issue?

Sometimes. Today, for a short bit the only sites I could get on were SteamGamers and Youtube. I couldn't even get on google for some reason...

If you can only load some sites, it may be your DNS. Maybe try ipconfig /flushdns?

Could try out OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/start/) also.

My internet has been working well today, surprisingly. Sometimes it just hiccups and doesn't want to load a lot of sites. Flushing my DNS didn't do much when that happened, so it may just be something to do with my ISP? Overload in usage maybe? Nonetheless, I'll try out what you suggested spiral. Thanks all! I guess you can mark this as solved or whatever. :p

Just power cycle your router and reset your modem

Flushing the DNS may not take effect right away, but it usually does do the trick. Marking this as resolved then since you said it's cool now.
