Do net_graph 5 (remember to change back to 1 after) for a few minutes, screenshot how that looks like.

Ping does NOT equal speed / usability of your, or the server's, connection (though it is one of the main factors). :)

fucking update's why not keeping everything the same because they always end up the same, you fix shit and break more shit,

net_graph 5

You said your cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate are at 66, but what is rate at? I would suggest lowering it to 25000 if it isn't already. If you still lag start going farther down.

net_graph 5 on a server with more people on it, I should have requested :P

If you're bored, read this (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/TF2_Network_Graph) (I know it says for TF2, but CS:S uses the same thing now), and maybe also this (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Source_Multiplayer_Networking).

If you are not getting high lerp, your ping does not spike up bad, your FPS stays high, you are not getting high choke, nor is the "sv" section on net_graph (SerVer FPS) going down; then I dunno what would be causing it.

I used to have some weird lag to.

Try this, Create a new file called autoexec.cfg

rate "35000"
cl_updaterate "67"
cl_cmdrate "67"
cl_lagcomp_errorcheck "0"
cl_lagcompensation "1"
cl_interp "0.0175"
cl_interp_ratio "1"
cl_interp_threadmodeticks "0"
cl_pred_optimize "2"
sv_maxupdaterate "67"
sv_maxcmdrate "67"

and enter them.

sv_maxupdaterate
sv_maxcmdrate

These are server commands and do absolutely nothing for you. A players rate should be based on his connection.

while in game, press esc, then server tab, click internet, then click stop refeshing, problem sloved

with the new update, it automatically searches for servers, you just need to stop it

Is this still an issue?
