I would just like to remind the community, that trolling, bullying, or being abusive to another player for no reason, is against the rules.

Simple... let me explain to the people who are going to argue against this..

If you call someone a dick to be nasty for no reason, you'll be banned. If you start acting like a dick bullying one person, then getting other people involved, you and the other people will be banned.

I myself am going to start banning people for being pricks to other people. The Higher management team will follow suit.

I encourage you all to use the report a post button, or alternatively PM myself with the thread link post if someone is being a total dick for no reason.

Thanks.

Garf

I just want to post and say that I am going to actively engage in cracking down trolling in the forum as well.

If you see something out of the ordinary, be glad that it isn't a PM from me.

I'll explain in baby talk.

If you're nasty Charlie, you'll be told off!

if you joke troll, have a laugh you won't be told off.

Difference between being a horrible bully, and having fun with someone..

We have judgement, we can tell wrong to right, therefore if we know, or think you're being fun, having a laugh with the person nothing will happen.

When I talk about banning, I mean for example.

"I've made this thread because I'm new"

GarfieldH Replies : "fuck off new fag"

"haggard replies : "what ya doing making dis thread r u fucking stupid?!!?!?"

tcp replies : " im gay"

paul replies "sup, your dadda has a vagina"

cloud replies " let's be horrible to this person the cb".

garf, paul, haggard, cloud = banned

CHAT BOX EXAMPLE:

GarfieldH "Hi"

haggard "garfield you're stupid"

Tcp "yeah garfieldh you hick"

Paul " hahaha your dumb no one likes you"

cloud "im gay"

haggard, paul, tcp = banned

Does it also include signatures that point towards someone just to be mean?

Any form of horrible bullying, or being a total dick. If it's a "joke", it's cool. but if they are trying to get a bad reaction from the person for doing it, then yes. ask them to remove the sig, if they don't comply, feel free to ban them for 1 week

Some people still don't have the brain cells to understand.. lol

We're not going to ban for every little thing, we're talking about REAL bullying, someone being pure nasty for no reason... none of us are turning in to certain past people...

So perfect example.

Refer to http://www.steamgamers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34566

This user was kindly trying to better the community with a suggestion, nothing wrong with that eh? Apart from the first 3 time wasters posting "LOL'D" (because it's so cool to post that, I did it once.. when i was like 12)

Insomnia thought it would be nice to call the kid a "fag".

"No thanks, anyone with 420 in their name is automatically a fag."

This was not necessary, why are we calling new members a fag for posting something helpful, prime example of someone being nasty for no reason. Because a new member seeing this, really wants them to be part of this lovely internet community.

We're a community for fun, let's just have it... yeah?

Again, last post... but people seem to think this is a new "rule", worryingly a lot of the CA+ think this.. this is not the case, when you accept our forum rules, it clearly says;

While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or worthless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

I am just reminding you of this rule.
