I mean, why not? I'm gonna buy new 1.6 soon (Yes, I got VAC'd from the other one)
Hell a lot more players then in CSS (Especially in Europe). CS 1.6 offers hell a lot of good mods (Great Zombie mod :D, Tag [jumping on bhop blocks and getting to a hiding spot] THE BEST WC3 MOD, and also the best one, REGULAR!). We will hell a lot of new members, and this will raise our community reputation.

Agreed.
I used to love the good ol' times of cs 1.6
The actual reason I bought css tho was because I was looking at vids of zombiemurder :)

Just going to point something out because I feel like it - there are more people in CSS then in 1.6, at any given time. Take now for instance - there's 20,000 more people on CSS then CS. Steam Stats (http://store.steampowered.com/stats/).

Other then that, I quite like 1.6. Chances are I probably wouldn't play on it, though, so I'm just not going to put in a vote.

it has much more active deathrun servers, and require more skills.

I dont think alot of people still play this for it to be real popular like our css servers, no support.

CS 1.6 is still very popular. I support this idea. Would bring more people into our community.

Since the game is old, they won't be a huge tack on the servers. So I am all for a minigames or pub. I know some great maps for minigames.

noooooo... lol i dont have cs 1.6 linked to this account and i would have to switch to my friends account to play on it =(, just port the mods into css where a majority of the steam gamers player base is already located.

Voted No.
I think we should look at future games rather then old games ( even though it is a popular one ).

Sure lets buy a server for a game that no-1 has.
Almost everyone with counter strike source, has cs 1.6, or can get acces to it.
Really, CS1.6 would be great.

People play CS1.6 because they can't run source, or don't like it. I think it would have create 2 seperate player bases. If people join because they play BC2, they most likely have CS:Source. If not they can certainly run it. If people join because of 1.6 they wont be able to play anything new that SG does.

Practically any computer can play 1.6, its so easy to run how much could it take up on the dedi?

In my opinion we should give in a try and see what inpact it will give to our community. If it fails, we'll remove it. Simple.

Not necessarily..they would have to own both mods. I see your point though.

I personally don't think a 1.6 server would be bad but I am not sure if it would be populated enough. Plus the SG tags for members, regs, hons, and sups, won't work haha.

No because some people from servers will leave to go to 1.6 so server population go down, but never know.

LOL. Do you realize most of the people that have source don't have 1.6? I'm all in for this, I suck at 1.6 now, as Andre and Espio know (We got fucking rolled). I want to get some practice. Also, I wall.

Thats the point, we can still enjoy some SG fun from pretty much any PC. Also this runs easily off a USB stick.
